The contest begins on September 9, 2024, and ends the sooner of 150 participants or October 31, 2024 (“Entry/Contest Period”). 

A winner will be randomly selected from the sooner of the first 150 participants or October 31, 2024. 

Prize not to exceed $15,000.  

Vehicle purchase counts toward ten (10) entries. To obtain an entry without vehicle purchase, please complete an entry form at Van Horn Budget Auto or Van Horn Motors of Sheboygan. Entry form completion without vehicle purchase counts toward one (1) entry. Limit one (1) entry form per non-purchasing vehicle participant. No purchase necessary. Entry/Contest Period ends the sooner of 150 participants or October 31, 2024. Participant is a person purchasing a vehicle and a person not purchasing a vehicle. No purchase necessary to enter Contest. 

THIS CONTEST IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED, ENDORSED OR ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH THE FACEBOOK, INC. (“Facebook”), X, INC (“X”), INSTAGRAM, INC. (“Instagram”), OR YOUTUBE, LLC (“YouTube”). 

1. ELIGIBILITY: The “CarsFor15K $15,000 Giveaway” (the “Contest”) is open to legal U.S. residents who are at least 18 years old.     

 2. SPONSOR: VHAG Sheboygan 5, LLC DBA Van Horn Motors of Sheboygan and Wolf’s Motor Car Company, LLC, DBA Van Horn Budget Auto are the sponsors (“Sponsor”). Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, affiliates employees, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment, and marketing agencies, website providers and each of their employees, officers, and directors (collectively, the “Contest Entities”), and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children, regardless of where they live) and those living in the same household are not eligible to enter or win. Participation constitutes participant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest and which Sponsor may decide in its sole discretion. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.  

3. HOW TO ENTER: After purchasing a vehicle at one of the two locations, or if not purchasing a vehicle, persons will be directed to register via an entry form. The entry form will include, but not be limited to, name, valid address, phone, and email, as well as store location and the date. Upon completion and submission of the entry form, you automatically will be entered with ten (10) entries into the Contest if you purchased a vehicle or one (1) entry into the Contest if you did not purchase a vehicle. You must provide all required information to be eligible to enter and win. By entering, you agree that Sponsor may contact you via social media, including on Facebook, Instagram, or X, by sending you a direct message, tagging you, posting to your social media page, or naming you on Sponsor’s social media page. Normal Internet access, phone, and usage charges imposed by your online or phone service may apply. A live online drawing of the Contest winner will be held.

 Please note:  By entering in this Contest, you signify and agree that your entry and any other materials submitted in connection with this Contest may be posted on Sponsor’s website and/or other social media sites or applications associated with the Contest in a manner that is consistent with these Official Rules. Upon submission of entry in this Contest, you agree that Sponsor may contact you via social media, including on Facebook, Instagram or X by sending you a direct message, tagging you, posting to your social media page or naming you on Sponsor’s social media page. You must provide all required information to be eligible to enter and win. The winner is subject to verification before any prize is awarded.   

Entries must only be submitted by a Van Horn employee in the presence of the participant.  No copies, facsimiles, or mechanical reproductions of the entry form will be accepted.    

4. SELECTION OF WINNERS:   Sponsor will select the name of the winner of the $15,000 prize in a random drawing from among all entries received from Sponsor’s two dealership locations (VHAG Sheboygan 5, LLC DBA Van Horn Motors of Sheboygan and Wolf’s Motor Car Company, LLC, DBA Van Horn Budget Auto)  after September 9, 2024 which is the sooner of the first 150 participants or October 31, 2024 (“Drawing Date”).  The odds of winning are based on the number of eligible entries received. Entries at both Sponsor locations will be combined. The winner will be notified by email and telephone, on the Drawing Date.   

Verification of Winner:  THE WINNER IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY THE SPONSOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE CONTEST.  A PARTICIPANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL PARTICIPANT’S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND PARTICIPANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE.  

5.  PRIZES:   There will be one (1) prize  The Prize is a $15,000.00 in the form of a check. Verified Retail Value of Prize is $15,000.00.

PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: The winner shall be solely responsible for all taxes on the Prize, including any local, state or federal income or prize tax required. 

Prize does not include any transportation to and from the Dealership. Only the one Prize stated in these Official Rules is available to be won in the Contest.   Other terms, restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS:  Participation constitutes Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, or incomplete entries; technical failures; or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise, the announcement of the Prize or in any Contest-related materials.

 Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor. If, for any reason, the Contest cannot be run as planned, Sponsor may disqualify any suspect entries and (a) suspend the Contest and modify the Contest to address the impairment, then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (b) terminate the Contest and award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASES; PUBLICITY:  BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT CONTEST ENTITIES, SPONSOR OR THEIR AFFILLIATES, THEIR REPRESENTATIVES, CONSULTANTS, CONTRACTORS, LEGAL COUNSEL, ADVERTISING, PUBLIC RELATIONS, PROMOTIONAL, FULFILLMENT AND MARKETING, WEBSITE PROVIDERS, WEB MASTERS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY PARTICIPANTS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR PROPERTY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE, OR USE OF THE PRIZE, ENTRY, OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST OR IN ANY CONTEST-RELATED ACTIVITY, OR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR INVASION OF PRIVACY, OR MERCHANDISE DELIVERY.  THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THIS CONTEST CANNOT BE ADMINISTERED OR CONDUCTED OR ANY PRIZE CANNOT BE AWARDED DUE TO CANCELLATIONS, DELAYS, OR INTERRUPTIONS RESULTING OR ARISING FROM ACTS OF GOD, WAR, OR TERRORISM, CIVIL UNREST, STRIKES, SUPPLY SHORTAGES, NATURAL DISASTERS, WEATHER, EPIDEMICS, PANDEMICS, COMPLIANCE WITH ANY LAW OR ORDER OF A GOVERNMENTAL AUTHORITY, OR ANY OTHER SIMILAR ACT, EVENT, OR OCCURANCE BEYOND THE REASONABLE CONTROL OF THE SPONSOR.  BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY INJURIES, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES TO PERSONS, INCLUDING DEATH, OR TO PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF ACCESS TO AND USE OF ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST OR THE DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM SUCH SITE.

EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES PARTICIPANT’S GRANT TO SPONSOR  AND THE RELEASED PARTIES THE RIGHT AND PERMISSION TO PRINT, PUBLISH, BROADCAST, AND USE, WORLD WIDE IN ANY MEDIA NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVELOPED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WORLD WIDE WEB, AT ANY TIME OR TIMES, THE PARTICIPANT’S ENTRY, NAME, PORTRAIT, PICTURE, VOICE, LIKENESS, OPINIONS AND BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HOMETOWN AND STATE) FOR ADVERTISING, TRADE, AND PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES (INCLUDING THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF HIS OR HER NAME ON TELEVISION OR RADIO BROADCAST) WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION, COMPENSATION, PERMISSION, OR NOTIFICATION.   

 8. DISPUTES.  This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.  Except where prohibited, participant agrees that: (1) all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the State of Wisconsin court system, (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest not to exceed fifty US Dollars (US$50.00), but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.  All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the participant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Wisconsin or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Wisconsin.  Any venue shall be in the state courts located in Sheboygan County, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. 

 9. PRIVACY:  Other than as stated herein, information collected from participants is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.carsfor15k.com. Sponsor may use participants’ and/or referrals’ personal information submitted with entry for purposes of prize fulfillment and/or for future marketing by Sponsor, such as to notify them of a product or promotion that Sponsor thinks may be of interest.
